Thank you for shopping with The Vinyl Dead! We do our best to make sure every transaction is as smooth as possible, but understand that the occasional mistake happens such as a defective product or parts are missing.


All sales are final, with the exception of defective or damaged merchandise. The Vinyl Dead will not accept returns of non-defective or non-damaged merchandise and will not issue refunds, credits or exchanges. Should your product be found defective or damaged, we will replace the product, issue a refund to you, or issue a credit to you, at the sole discretion of The Vinyl Dead.

Defective or Damaged Merchandise

Only significant manufacturing defects, missing parts and/or broken pieces within the product itself at the time of delivery will constitute defective or damaged merchandise. Actual product may vary from photographs and packaging. Packaging serves only to protect the product within during shipping and handling. Imperfections or markings on a product’s packaging will not be taken to constitute a defective or damaged product. Items damaged due to normal wear and tear, abuse or negligence will not be accepted as defective or damaged.

While we cater to many collectors and do our best to hand pick the best items, there may be slight shelf wear, creases, and/or slight imperfections. You may not receive the item with the "perfect" box and "perfect" paint job. If you seek the "perfect" box and paint job, we recommend shopping in person at a brick and mortar store. Unfortunately, we will not be able to exchange items due to slight imperfections.

Blind Boxes

Blind boxed products are packed on a random basis. All character likenesses, product information and packing ratios that may be depicted on blind box packaging are for illustrative purposes only. Your received product may differ from that featured on blind box packaging. The Vinyl Dead cannot replace specific blind box figures. If the damaged or defective item you received from The Vinyl Dead was a blind boxed product, we cannot guarantee replacement of the same figure you originally received.

Defective Product Returns

Keep in mind that many of the toys we sell are handmade or run in small quantities by small toy companies. A small blemish or deformity can actually increase the value of a toy. But in the rare case that the toy is severely damaged right out of the box, we'll accept a return on the item within FIVE (5) DAYS of product delivery. Any return requests made after FIVE (5) DAYS will NOT be accepted. NOTE: All returns MUST include original packaging. If ALL original packaging is not with a return, we will NOT accept your return and you will be liable for the shipping costs back to you. Also note, if you damage the toy...sorry, we can't accept the return...please be more careful next time.

How To Return Items

  1. Contact The Vinyl Dead within FIVE (5) DAYS of product delivery via email or call 1-619-940-4155.
  2. Explain your reason for return and we'll issue you an Return Authorization Number (RAN). Any returns made without an RAN will NOT be accepted!
  3. Ship the item and all packaging and shipping materials back inside a shipping box. WRITE YOUR RAN THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX!
  4. Once we receive your return, we'll process it within 30 business days.
